As NextLevel was doing well in the advertising business, so was another guy, Patrick Smyth. He had a company spun off from Starnet called Wiremix. When we had to break the company up, he got Wiremix to run. They were doing advertising and placements for gaming sites, poker and sportsbooks.
One day I visited Patrick and said, “Patrick, we should merge the two companies. What do you think? We’ll put NextLevel—because we have the traditional advertising, the rock work and the music—together with what you’re doing at Wiremix and make one big company.” He said, “Yeah, that’s a great idea,” with that big smile of his.
Over a Starbucks—or a drink or twenty, or whatever it was we did back then—we put the company together and merged Wiremix and NextLevel. We decided to use NextLevel as the parent name because it was better known and had a reputation in traditional media. Wiremix became the gaming arm.
We had quite a few employees then. Starnet had had more than two hundred; Wiremix probably had twenty-five or twenty-six, plus my crew that came over. Patrick had a great office on Homer Street, and we moved in. We began combining the two companies.
We also combined the New York operation that NextLevel had at “770 West Broadway,” as I remember it [address under review]. Jason April headed the advertising group there. I think four people were selling advertising and doing great business. This was around June, July and August 2001.
Wiremix and NextLevel did very good business. We were up to around three hundred thousand dollars in revenue a month and climbing. Then something changed the world. That will be in Part 2.

Thirty-second briefing
Wiremix Media is preserved here as the documented operating bridge between the NextLevel.com chapter and the later CYOP Systems transition. A CYOP filing says Patrick Smyth founded Wiremix in 1999 and served as its President, describing the business as an advertising and marketing agency specializing in online gaming and e-commerce.
A British Columbia Employment Standards Tribunal decision records that Wiremix merged operations with NextLevel in February 2001 and operated as its Canadian division. That record also documents a later disagreement and an April 2001 operating transition involving Moshpit. The precise ownership, consideration, legal structure, and asset sequence remain unresolved and are not inferred here.
Documented context
The recovered SEC-filed executive biography describes Wiremix as an advertising and marketing agency focused on online gaming and e-commerce. Until original corporate or marketing material is recovered, that filed description remains the clearest public statement of corporate purpose.
The same filing identifies Patrick Smyth as Wiremix’s founder and President. Benny Doro’s precise Wiremix title, ownership interest, and legal role have not yet been verified and are intentionally left unstated.
The BC tribunal record describes a February 2001 merger of operations after which Wiremix operated as NextLevel’s Canadian division. The record also preserves a later dispute, so the relationship is presented as documented operational history rather than a simplified acquisition claim.
A later CYOP filing records Patrick Smyth’s October 2002 appointment as CYOP President and identifies his prior NextLevel presidency and Wiremix founding. This establishes leadership continuity across the chapter, but does not by itself establish that CYOP acquired Wiremix.
